Hi, I’m Joumana.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the founder of Self Mental Health Therapy. My journey into mental health care began with a simple, yet profound belief: everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and equipped to live their best life.
Over the years, I’ve worked in diverse settings, from hospitals to academic environments, supporting teens, young adults, and families through some of life’s most difficult moments. My specialties include addressing anxiety, depression, relational dynamics, and major life adjustments such as grief and loss.
What sets me apart is my holistic, person-centered approach. I see therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together to uncover the layers of your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. As someone fluent in English and conversational Arabic, I also value offering culturally competent care to meet the unique needs of my clients.
Self was founded to be a space where you can explore, grow, and heal in your own way and at your own pace. It’s not just about self-care—it’s about creating a life where you can fully embrace your self, in every season and stage.
